- How are classes structured?
Classes are weekly and 90 minutes per class.
- What is the curriculum?
The uniquely planned curriculum is structured to provide math enrichment that is connected to the school curriculum. The curriculum is designed to develop conceptual knowledge, and related problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Every class follows a specific lesson plan. Therefore, students and parents will see improvements in their school grades while also being better prepared for the next level.
- What are the various courses offered?
Pre-Algebra
Algebra 1
Algebra 2, Algebra 2 Honors
Geometry
Pre-Calculus, Pre-Calculus Honors
Calculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC
- Is this a 1-one-1 tutoring service?
No, this not a 1-one-1 tutoring service. These are regular weekly classes in a small group setting that follow a planned curriculum. Students learn math concepts and problem-solving skills that are connected to the school curriculum.
- Do you offer 1-one-1 tutoring services as well?
Please contact me if you have any questions regarding private tutoring. For students who may require a few preparatory private sessions prior to joining regular classes, please contact me directly.
- Are the classes on-line?
Yes, classes are on-line on the Zoom platform.
- How are students assessed and placed?
Most students are placed at the same level as their school placement. Incoming students may be assessed with a math skills placement test.
- What is the expectation from students?
Students are expected to take notes and complete homework assignments, if any. Students are expected to refrain from sources of distraction such as phones, video-games etc. while classes are in session.
- What is the absence policy?
There are no make-up classes if students are absent, but they will be provided with the class notes, and a ½ hour consultation session may be scheduled upon request.
